Candidates for Juvéderm®

If you are interested in reducing signs of aging on your face or neck without surgery, you may be a good candidate for Juvéderm®. In addition, you must have generally good health and be realistic about what the treatment can offer. While Juvéderm® is highly effective at smoothing out lines and wrinkles, Dr. Matthew White stresses to his patients that the treatment affects everyone differently.

During your initial consultation, Dr. White will address any concerns you may have and listen to your aesthetic goals. From this information, he will create a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. Depending on your goals, he may recommend additional treatments, such as BOTOX® Cosmetic or even a Mid Facelift. More details about your procedure will be discussed at this time.

The Juvéderm® Procedure

Juvéderm® is often referred to as a “lunch-hour” treatment, since the injection process only takes about 15 minutes to complete, depending on the extent of your needs. Dr. White uses a tiny needle to inject the smooth gel formula into the targeted areas previously established in your consultation. Patients typically experience little to no discomfort. You can begin to see your results immediately following your treatment, and they will continue to take effect over the next few days.

Patients can resume normal activities right away, as little downtime is needed. It is normal to experience slight redness or swelling for the first week, but this should dissipate over time. Results typically last 6 to 12 months.
